Google docs

Which sorts of docs do you think could be most useful to teachers?
Are there features that you particularly liked?
How could you exploit the benefits of collaboration in a science lesson?

  2. It's useful to have an easy way of getting uTube video into documents and the 'forms' option has potential.

  3. It might be useful for students to use docs to work on a group project over a period of time - they can all access info at all times, avoiding problems if one is absent or one not contibuting enough as you can probably view work done by individuals

  4. They will probably use presentations to share across the web. Should be used collaboratively by students to enable them to work effectively.

  5. Many of the facilities here encourage students to talk to each other - rather than the teacher. This can be a powerful weapon to combat the 'google, download, print, hand in' model of research. In translating googled data for a peer audience, students can be shamed into actually reading and thinking about the downloaded data.
